What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of 113 known cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD has many beneficial properties and is used to promote wellness.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. The human body (and the bodies of all vertebrates) produce endocannabinoids, while cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids. Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) to promote homeostasis.

How does CBD work?

The human body has two receptors for cannabinoids the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Although both are found all over the body, CB1 receptors are present in the brain and deal with pain, movement, cognitive function, and mood. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system and affect pain and inflammation, among other things. THC attaches to the CB1 receptors, whereas CBD interacts with the CB2 receptors. Unlike THC which attaches to receptors, CBD does not attach to the CB2 receptor. Rather, researchers believe that CBD influences the body’s use of endocannabinoids (promoting homeostasis).

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The human endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a system of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors. Neurotransmitters such as endocannabinoids are produced by the central nervous system and interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.

What is a tincture?

Commonly referred to as “CBD Oil”, a CBD tincture is CBD in liquid form. CBD extracts (isolate or distillate) are infused into medium-chain triglycerides (MCT oil) from coconuts, which serves as a carrier oil. Tinctures are ingested orally. Fill the syringe on your dropper to 1ml and squirt under your tongue. Hold under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before swallowing.

How many milligrams of CBD should I take per serving?

How many milligrams of CBD should I take per serving?

Your effective dose will depend on a number of factors, including the severity of your condition, the application/consumption method, and the size of the person. Suggested dosing ranges from 5mg to 50mg per serving.

Will CBD work for me?

Some of the benefits reported by CBD users include improved mood, sleep, attention, mobility, and more. However, results may vary.

Do your products contain THC?

We have one product with trace amounts of THC (Full-Spectrum CBD Tincture). The rest of our products are 0.00% THC.

How are our DELTA-9 gummies LEGAL?

Did you know the 2018 Farm Bill actually legalized Delta-9 edibles and no one realized it? It just takes some math to understand.

How is this Legal Exactly?

- Each gummy weighs anywhere from 3.5g to 3.7g. The legal amount of Delta-9 THC is 0.3% dry weight. With that being said, we make the gummies heavy, so we can pack it with 10mg of real THC. If you're wondering if that is potent enough, it is.

Let's break down the math:

Gummy Weight: 3.5g = 3,500mg

D9 THC: (.3% legal limit) x 3,500mg = 10.5 mg Delta-9-THC

What does full-spectrum mean?

Full-spectrum products are formulated with a CBD extract that has the same cannabinoid profile as the hemp biomass from which it came. Our CBD uses only hemp biomass that is high in CBD, rich in minor cannabinoids, and below the legal threshold of 0.3% THC. Our Full-Spectrum Tinctures are under 0.3% THC and legal in all 50 states.

What are minor cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are compounds that act on the body’s endocannabinoid system that alter neurotransmitter release in the brain. Each cannabinoid interacts with the endocannabinoid differently and has different benefits. The most notable cannabinoids are CBD and THC, but there are at least 113 known cannabinoids. The other 111+ cannabinoids are commonly referred to as “minor cannabinoids”.

What is the entourage effect?

The presence of other cannabinoids and terpenes affect the way your body responds to cannabinoids in a synergistic manner in which the combined effect of CBD and other cannabinoids and/or terpenes is greater than the sum of its parts. If you would like to take advantage of the entourage effect, we recommend a Full-Spectrum CBD Tincture, or any of our products with terpenes, including CBD Sleep Drops, CBD E-Liquid, or CBD Shatter.

How much CBD is in your products?

The amount of CBD varies from product to product. Please refer to the front of each product’s label, where the amount of CBD is prominently displayed.

Are these products safe?

There are no incidences of CBD consumption causing illness. CBD is completely non-toxic, meaning you cannot overdose. Additionally, all Hemp Fields Direct LLC CBD products undergo rigorous testing to guarantee that they are free from contaminants.

Are there any side effects?

There are no known side effects. However, extremely large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness.

Does CBD interact with other medications?

More research needs to be done. If you are taking prescription medications, speak to a qualified health professional.

Which product is right for me?

The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason it is being used. For most conditions, we recommend a tincture due to its high bioavailability, precise dosing, and convenience. Many users also prefer topicals for certain conditions.

How long will it take to notice the benefits?

It depends on the method and dose. For products with high bioavailability like vape products and tinctures, users often report immediate results. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take up to a half hour or more to be detectable. Individual results may vary.

How often can I take CBD?

It depends on the reason CBD is used, but you can use CBD throughout the day, or at particular times.

Can I take CBD on an empty stomach?

Yes, there are usually no issues when taken on an empty stomach.

Do you test for potency, pesticide, heavy metals, and yeast/bold/microbial contamination?

Yes. We send samples to a third-party lab for all hemp used in processing, all extracts we produce, and each batch of CBD products we formulate to ensure purity, accurate cannabinoid concentrations, and consistency. This includes testing for THC levels and potential contaminants.

Will CBD get me high?

Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and is extremely unlikely to cause a high.

Can your products cure/treat my condition?

CBD has not been approved by the FDA in the treatment of any condition aside from particular seizure disorders. Consult a physician to determine if you could benefit from using CBD.

Are hemp and marijuana the same thing?

Hemp is legally defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% of the cannabinoid THC. THC causes a high and is illegal federally. Hemp contains trace amounts of THC, is unlikely to cause a high, and is legal to possess in all 50 US states. All our CBD products except for the Full-Spectrum CBD Tinctures are 0.00% THC due to a process that removes THC from the extract used to infuse its products with CBD.

What extraction method do you use?

Like most CBD processors, we use ethanol as our solvent of choice. Although it is possible to use CO2 as a solvent to produce the highest purity extracts, ethanol has emerged as a more energy efficient and scalable alternative. It is important to note that all ethanol is removed from the extracts through a process of evaporation and distillation.

Can I give my pet CBD?

Yes, high-quality CBD is safe for pets. The best CBD product to give you dog is our unflavored CBD Isolate Tincture. We recommend that you consult with a veterinarian professional.

Do your products contain gluten?

No

Does CBD have a shelf life?

CBD does not have an expiration date, however, some CBD products have ingredients that do. Please refer to the expiration date on the packaging. Additionally, CBD can degrade with exposure to direct sunlight, air, and heat. Products should be stored in airtight containers in a cool, dark place.

Do I need to keep my CBD products refrigerated?

CBD products do not need to be refrigerated, but a refrigerator is not a bad place to keep your store your product so long as it is out of the reach of children. CBD products should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Exposure to air, direct sunlight, and heat can degrade CBD.

What is the difference between CBD and hemp?

Hemp is a variety of cannabis that is under 0.3% THC. It is grown for food, fiber, or CBD extracted from its flowers. In other words, CBD is a derivative of the hemp plant.

Will CBD show up on a drug test?

If you are using a CBD Full-Spectrum Tincture, there is a greater than zero chance that the trace and legal amount of THC in the product could cause you to test positive for THC. All other CBD products are 0.00% THC. These products are not expected to cause a positive result for THC. However, Hemp Fields Direct LLC CBD cannot and does not represent or warrant as to the results that any individual may experience and advises customers to consider the risks of incorrect detection prior to use of this product.

What is hemp seed oil?

Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD or other cannabinoids. While CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant’s flowers, hemp seed oil is produced by pressing the plant’s seeds. Look for Cannabidiol (CBD) on the Supplement Facts of the label to determine whether or not the product contains CBD.

Is CBD good for me if I’m perfectly healthy?

Due to its interaction with the endocannabinoid system to help support the body’s effort to maintain homeostasis, CBD is very popular among people with no health concerns seeking to optimize health.

What is your return policy?

We will exchange or refund unopened products (at our discretion) within two weeks of purchase. No refunds are available for products that have been opened unless it has been pre-approved. If you have a problem with your purchase please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Why is the onset of THC-O’s effects delayed?

The reason why the onset of THC-O’s effects is delayed is that it’s a prodrug of THC requiring deacetylation via your liver enzymes before it interacts with your system. Deacetylation refers to the removal of the acetate group from a molecule (in this case THC-O).

If you’re looking to dose THC-O now or in the future, we recommend a level of patience. Refrain from dosing too much too quickly after your first dose, otherwise, you’re going to feel the effects much harder than expected.
